AMA District 7 Enduro Rules

1. Requirements

A. All riders must obtain an E.C.E.A. license. (Available FREE at all Enduro's and through several District 7 Board Members). A very short written test on basic knowledge is given after reading an E.C.E.A. flyer that explains what the rider should know

B. All riders must purchase a District 7 Enduro Card.

2. Program

A. The District 7 Enduro program will consist of a series of events each year picked by the Enduro Representative and his committee and the schedule for the year along with the names, dates, and locations of each event to be published in advance of the date of the first enduro of the year. 

B. All Enduro are E.C.E.A. sanctioned and will be run completely by E.C.E.A. rules.

C. The District 7 series will be based on the E.C.E.A. referee reports (as furnished to the district).

D. Points dropped will be those reported by the E.C.E.A. referee reports.

E. Rider classes will be the same as E.C.E.A. except that for the District 7 award purposes

(1) Classes will be combined for an overall award at the end of the series

(a) Riders completing a shortened course at an event are ineligible for overall series points for that event.

The series has one drop, and you will be scored on your 10 best results. If the sponsoring club, or the ECEA Referee for an individual event disqualifies a rider, that rider is ineligible for District 7 points for that event. You must join the District 7 Enduro Series by June 1ST to receive points in the series. Any riders joining after the third event can only qualify for points from the date they joined.

(2) Classes will be as follows:

AA   OVERALL CHAMPION
A     OVERALL OPEN
B     OVERALL OPEN
C     OVERALL OPEN
A     Veteran
B     Veteran
A     Senior & Super Senior
B     Senior & Super Senior
Class trophies and overall trophies
awarded are subject to the number of
District 7 riders in each class and the
number of events ridden to qualify for
end of year trophies.
(i.e. B-250, B-125, B-200, B-Open, women)
at least three riders must sign up and
compete in a class.

(3) Riders will remain in the class they qualify for at their first enduro entered throughout the year

F. The type and quantity of awards to be given will be based on the amount of participation by District 7 members.

(1) One award for each three riders in a class.

G. If requested by enough riders, additional meetings, discussions, rule changes, etc., are possible with the objective of improving the program.

1. Riders will be scored on their best 10 out of 12 events.

2. "Points Dropped" will be used for determining District 7 Championship Series points.
Scoring will be as follows:

1st- 20 pts.    6th- 7 pts.
2nd- 16 pts.    7th- 5 pts.
3rd- 13 pts.    8th- 3 pts.
4th- 11 pts.    9th- 2 pts.
5th- 9 pts.    10th- 1 pt.
DNF placement will receive points.

3. A class must be a minimum of 3 riders entered for the year.

4. Rider "Sign-in" forms will be sent to each sponsoring club

5. It will be the District 7 riders' responsibility to put his/her class, riding number, etc., on the form at the sign-up area at each event.

6. All riders must have a current valid District 7 card to accumulate points.

7. Riders must ride 3 events to receive an award.

8. Women may elect to ride any class regardless of age, or letter classification.

9. Any rider classified AA for E.C.E.A. will be scored in the AA class for the series. If less than 3 AA riders sign up, they will only be eligible for the overall award.

10. EVERYONE IS ELIGIBLE to join District 7 regardless of residency.

11. Riders are not eligible for points if they enter their own clubs event.
